Kenginston Gardens

Once the private gardens of the Kensington Palace, the Kensington Gardens have become a popular public urban retreat for Londoners and tourists. Parks, it seems, have always been important in urban planning. Here, the flora has been arranged to create a shady tunnel for private conversations, relief from the hot sun and peace from the sounds of cars. The sun illuminates the tunnel through the openings used as passageways and windows. One can't help feeling a bit regal while strolling through, enjoying the labor of the gardeners and the sweetness of the flowers.
